Rand Evans and Spindler/Hoyer 1908 (link above) identify the device as Spindler/Hoyer made, Münsterberg reads "by Maier". What is true?
Comment V: Muensterberg's notation that this came from Maier is probably correct. I put down Spindler and Hoyer not to contradict this but to indicate where I got the image to identify it as being an Ewald Chronoscope. Sorry if I caused a confusion.. We should find the original publication in which Ewald pictures it.</dc:description>
