Laennec, René Théophile Hyacinthe

Bio: * 1755, Quimper; † 1821, Kerlouarnec
Career: He studied medicine in Nantes, Halle, and at the Hospital Necker in Paris. Later, he worked as professor for clinical medicine at the Faculté de Paris in 1823. Like his colleague Auenbrugger, Laënnec participated in the research concerning the exactly physical diagnostics of the diseases of chest organs.
