The “Apparatus for the Appreciation of Colors”, is a different instrument from <link ref="tec2987">Holmgren's Worsteds</link> although it is based on the same idea. See another description in <link href="http://www.sil.si.edu/digitalcollections/trade-literature/scientific-instruments/files/51682/imagepages/image116.htm">the 1889 catalog</link> of the Cambridge Scientific Instruments Company (No. 387).
